Tonight we had terrible weather, 20 mph winds and rain. So I thought it would be a good day to stalk through the corn. It took me about 2 hours and I seen a few does, but when I came out I walked to the end of the tree line. It is a good intersection to the north is about a 200 acre alfalfa field to the south is a tree line that separates beans and the corn field I was just in. When I got close I could see deer in the beans, about 150 yards away. I took a better look with my binoks and seen 2 does I started scanning to the left and wow! A huge eight point standing there feeding. pry around 115" - 120" so I got on the edge of this thicket and waited hoping he would walk by after a few minutes I caught something coming at me fast and low to the ground. I looked and it was a skunk about 10 yards and coming rate at me. So I crawled out towards the field where the deer were feeding, I grunted at the buck a few times but it was so windy I don't think he could hear me. I sat there until dark but the buck never came any closer. I also went out Friday and seen a nice buck at dark only 20 yards or so but he walked into the corn before I could shoot. shoot em straight

Sounds like your doing fairly well so far Scott. At least you are seeing nice deer. Only a matter of time until you shoot one right? When does your gun season start up?
