Hey Guys,
It's been a long time since my last post. Sorry about the wait, but with moving to a new house and gun season opening up things have been really crazy. I guess I have so much to discuss that I will just ramble on a bit and intermittenly post pictures.
I had a good gun season including several deer harvested off my own property behind my new house. How cool to walk outside your house, load your gun, and start hunting. I shot two does within 150 yards of my house (really nice short drags). I went back and got Jocelyn and Brilyn to help me drag them out. I ended the season well too. On the last Friday of the season Larry, Dad, Nate, and Stryker went hunting with me to Letchworth. I ended up shooting a nice 8 pointer (no, not the huge one I am holding just the head of in the picture) and a doe. The buck weighed 170, which would mean a live weight of around 260. The antlers had a 17 inch spread and scored around 105. Not to bad for the last weekend of the season. I also saw 5 different bucks hunting with a muzzleloader after shotgun season, so that means there are a lot of bucks around for next year. One of the bucks I saw was a nice 10 pointer that was bedded in high grass 6 yards from me. I saw that deer last Sunday. It would have scored 120-125.
So next year it should be real big. I can't wait. The big buck in the picture that I am holding just it's head was hit by a car right next to where I hunt the day before shotgun season opened. Shame I didn't see him with my bow. He scored about 140. I also posted pictures of Larry and Jocelyn's dad with their respective bucks. I chased the bucks to both of them and they shot them within 30 yards of each other. Jocelyn's dad on the second day of the gun season, and Larry during muzzleloader season. Overall I had a great season. Shot lots of deer, hung out with friends and family, and drank a few celebration beers. I am looking forward to ice fishing, tributary fishing, rabbit hunting and goose hunting next week over Christmas vacation. Posts will be much more frequent from hear on out.I'll post what I know about everyone else who reads and posts on the blog, but I would appreciate if you would post yourself to update/clarify my posts.

Larry - After shooting at does on the lease during bow and gun season ended up taking a four point with me in Letchworth with his muzzleloader.
Nate - After shooting at a couple of nice bucks (with a bow and gun) and does on the lease, shot a nice 8 point buck (see preivious picture from Larry). He also shot a doe hunting Letchworth with me on the last weekend of shotgun season. Great work!

Adam - Also shot at does on the lease. Ended up taking three does.
Mr. Moore - Shot two does on the lease. Also shot an eight point (I believe) back home in PA. Good Job!

Shaun - Haven't heard from him since he came to Letchworth to bow and gun hunt. He saw and shot at several nice bucks. Please post soon and let me know how your season went.
Andy - Shot at least one doe, but I don't know any more. Like to hear from you soon Andy.
Mr. Steiner - Shot a doe with his gun and is getting ready for goose season (me too!!!)
Mr. Baker - Shot a handful of does, but didn't connect on any bucks.
Scott Withers - Haven't heard from Scott since bow season. He had a very successful bow season though (see his previous posts). I'd like to hear how gun season went Scott!
Dad - Shot two does with his gun.
Uncle John - Shot two does with his gun.

Stryker - Missed a big doe in my backyard (more hunting next year hopefully)
Tor - Haven't heard anything from Tor in a long time. Love to see a post.
Scott Schlede - Killing the Browns and Steelhead no doubt. I'll find out next week when I go fishing with him. He has his own blog now and doesn't really post here.
Have a great Christmas and New Years Guys!!!

Solid Year. I definitely cant say i didnt have fun this year. I probably saw more than 200 does and 25-30 different bucks. I enjoyed hunting some new territory being on the lease and had a good season again this year in letchworth. What would i do differently next year than this year? Definitely hunt a few different locations on the lease. HUNT THE PINE STAND OPENING MORNING IN LETCHWORTH. No way im letting dad get away with that again. Of course with the way they slaughtered the deer this year in the park, who knows what next year will be like. Im glad that i didnt have to drive as far this year to hunt. Im look forward to next year on the rebisz ranch and the lease and the occassional slaughter/hiking trip to letchworth.
Good work guys.
nice buck Joe! Not bad for late season last chance hunting.
