Good Work Nate. Spooty shot this buck Dec 3 on the Deer Lease in Churchville. It is 16 inches inside. Pretty buck with nice white antlers. The live weight was 190lbs. The story goes this way. I watched this buck walk into the spot I was hunting at 8am. It came in with another half rack 8 pointer which will be a nice buck next year. I was itchy to shoot it, but it came in slow enough that i had plenty of time to measure it and score it in my mind... great buck, just a little smaller than what i was looking for. I texted nate at 845 and let him know that the two bucks were bedded under my tree and i was going to climb down and do a short push to him (not intending on pushing these bucks to him). Once i got to the ground the bucks trouted off, not too spooked. Minutes later i heard nate shoot. Sure enough, this buck and two smaller bucks ran right across the field he was watching. He shot the deer twice on the run! Not too bad. The deer will score right around 100 inches. Good Buck Spooty. Of courese we harassed him furociously about it being a small buck (only by lease standards), but in the end, its a great deer and will taste tremendous.
