Im Trying, Leave Me Alone
Well needless to say, I have put a good deal of time into hunting already this year. It seems to be this way every year. I passed up a few shots at does and have seen a couple bucks that are not quite shooters (naturally these bucks milled around at 10 yards for several minutes too).
A couple of hunting highlights though - saw my first in-stand coyote that must have weighed 60lbs, HUGE!
A few days ago, Nathan and I had a flock of 25 turkey feeding within 5 yards of us.. I always find this amazing because it never happens in turkey season, I think turkeys can smell shotguns. I also waded across a small stream that turned out to be about three feet deep.. needless to say, my boots are still wet.
Outside of that, Joe's buck kill day is fairly typical of the weather we have been having, cold, raining, and definitely windy. Im off to Letchworth this weekend to brave the cold and ensure that I will get sick by Thanksgiving.
